Congratulations on taking the first steps toward becoming a member of our preschool family!

Once we receive your email, we will respond within three days. The email will include your next steps.

Others may be ahead of you in the enrollment process. Once you receive an email from us detailing your next steps, you will have two business days to pay the registration fee, which holds your child's spot. We will contact the next family if we do not receive the fee by the third business day. If this is a barrier to enrollment, please let us know.

Questions & Answers

  • What does "heart-centered" mean?
We are heart-centered because we foster a sense of connection, empathy, and care within the learning community. In our program, we recognize the importance of emotional intelligence. We focus on a child's emotional well-being and social development. Our goal is for children to feel supported and valued and be able to express themselves authentically. Every child comes through our classroom doors with strengths, and I want to help them recognize these gifts and expand on them.
  • I believe my child is toilet trained, but they still have accidents. Is this okay?
If children can stop what they are doing and use the bathroom on their own, they are ready for this transition. It does not mean they do not have accidents. As you assist your child at home, teaching them how to wipe and helping them become more confident when caring for themselves will be helpful for them while at school. We will be as flexible with this policy as much as possible. Some preschoolers have accidents in the first few weeks in a new school environment.
  • I'd like to see the preschool. When can I schedule a tour?
Tours will be scheduled after hours so potential clients can have our full attention. Only enrolled families and staff may be on the premises during preschool hours. Tours can be scheduled in the evenings and on weekends, preference would be on a Friday.
  • How is tuition structured?
As a small business owner, I need to make consistent monthly payments. Your tuition rate covers all the days of care plus some Federal holidays and two weeks of vacation. You are not paying for Fridays or for any other weeks we are closed. Tuition is a flat monthly fee due on the 15th of each month for the duration of the contract. The tuition secures your child's spot for the next month. Tuition does not reflect the number of days we are open or closed in a month. Payments will be made through the Brightwheel app, customers are responsible for applicable fees.
  • What is Brightwheel?
Brightwheel is the platform for checking preschoolers in and out, as well as parent communication, registration, tuition payments, tax forms, and more. Parents will be required to download the app. Upon enrollment, you will get an invitation to the app and be a part of our school.
  • We do not need care over summer. What do I need to do?
These are the two scenarios for current families: To guarantee your child's spot for the following Fall, please notify us by February 1st of your summer plans to disenroll. There will be no exceptions; notice must be provided by February 1. If you give us notice after February 1st, you will disenroll over the summer. You must re-enroll for Fall. I cannot guarantee an open spot. As a small business, we operate this program year-round without summertime enrollment campaigns like more extensive programs. We value your family's needs and understand the importance of summertime in the PNW. While we strive to accommodate families returning after a summer break, this can only be guaranteed with sufficient notice.
  • Do you have part-time spots?
We do not offer part-time spots. In the past some parents have opted to have their preschooler come half days for a few weeks to help them transition into the preschool routine and environment. Tuition is not discounted during that time.
